Web design is just rediculous now

So you want to build a standards compliant web site? Guess what — you now have to write code for at the minimum 5 different browsers. Firefox on a Mac, Safari on a Mac, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 on a PC, Windows Internet Explorer 7 on a PC, Firefox on a PC. Oh, and don’t forget to check that site in Camino on a Mac and Camino on a PC.

This is just ridiculous. Why do the W3C even have standards if people are going to write browsers that don’t interpret code the same way? I’m fed up with it. Now I know why Flash is so popular. You don’t have to think or do something thing 7 different ways.

Ugh, i feel that. I’m very nearly tempted to go back to table based layouts, that at least is fool proof.

Standards are bull if they aren’t standard.
