That would be fun, but it seems like a kind of Pandora's box of potential time-wastage. Hmmm . . . (sorry I'm still using IE! I did visit once on Firefox! Really I did!!!) Maybe I will just ask you my specific hacking-related questions in person.

I have a rather fantastic system installed on my server that tracks users who visit my site via JavaScript which then posts all that information to a MySQL database on my server that I can view to retrieve that information. And as for what I know about my readers I pay attention to their browser, screen size, platform, and geographical location. I also watch what search terms are used that drive traffic to my site as well as what websites are linking to me. The rest of the information I get, I let slide.

There are several free versions of this type of thing that you can put onto your blog. I would suggest Reinvigorate or Sitemeter. Reinvigorate is much, much better but is in Beta right now so it might take a while to get an account. Let me know if you want to use it and I might be able to get you hooked up.

Okay, so this scares me. (It scared me when I read the original post, too, but I got so busy I forgot to worry about it.) What else do you know about your readers? And, uh . . . what can you find out about mine . . .
