Someone smarter than me explains why The Da Vinci Code sucked.
Geoffrey Pullum goes into great detail about why The Da Vinci Code should be laughed at. The only thing worse than the book was the movie. I read The Da Vinci Code in a similar situation. I was in London — a few days from a trip into Paris and then back into London — and I picked up a copy for dirt cheap, thinking that it might be nice to read a book that took place on the exact trip that I was about to take. I wish I had those few hours of my life back. I’m glad I read it so that I was able to discourage other people from reading it, but I would have much rather dove back into a Steinbeck novel for the tenth time.

I think I’m that other person who has never heard the Da Vinci Code. Don’t own. Have never touched it in a book store. Never checked it out from a library. Never listened to it on tape. I don’t care to … I don’t think …
