Good lord, Aaron, I couldn't agree more. The last album blew my mind - I don't understand how Jason keeps churning out the songs. It's prolific and that alone should garner them the attention they never quite seem to get. Easily the most underrated bands from the last decade. EASILY.

Where's "I Am The Portuguese Blues" Aaron?! Easily one of the best 3/5 rock albums I've heard this decade.

But yeah they have amazing stuff.

This is what I am talking about. I want everyone to know about Starflyer 59. Hence me blogging about them. I first heard S59 in '93 when I bought a cassette tape of "She's the Queen." It blew my mind for many reasons. The most memorable of which where its complete originality compared with other Christian releases of the day and secondly its rawness and honesty. I remember listening to it for the first time.

<a href="http://www.purevolume.com/starflyer59" title="Starflyer 59 on Pure Volume" rel="nofollow">I am going to make it easy on everyone and link to their Pure Volume page. Just listen to some of their tracks there.</a>

I haven't heard much of their stuff, but that CD cover alone intrigues me enough to check them out.
