Santogold = Solid (Glitter) Gold

A new friend introduced me to Santogold’s first solo album and I have to say, it’s pretty amazing. It’s an amazing mix of sweet beats, punk undertones, and really great production. I haven’t been this excited about an album since MGMT’s “Oracular Spectacular” or Justice’s “Dance.” If I was going to be in a slow-motion fist fight to the death, it would be done with My Superman as the soundtrack. I’m a big fan of Santogold and it’s getting a lot of spins. Well, hard drives spin, so I guess even though it’s digital, the analogy still applies.
